Born in Nassau Bahamas, my parents are British immigrants but only stayed there a year. I moved around a lot as a child but spent a good amount of time in Florida and Arizona, I have always been active and was an equestrian up until college, competing in many show jumping events. I had the opportunity to do a fox hunt in Florida which was a bucket list item for me. Running has always been my stress reliever and a good way to clear my head. I have done quite a few trail races and finished 3rd in my age group for the 2021 season. I’ve also experienced my share of injuries, 3 torn meniscus, a complete ACL tear, tennis elbow in both arms, plantar fasciitis, and multiple ankle sprains. I look back on those injuries and can see how they have made me a better coach. Not only because I know how it feels to start over with your strength and fitness, but also how to rehab and train people dealing with similar issues. Not just physically but mentally.
While I have done equestrian events and running, I did not do any strength training. A big turning point for me was when I hit my 40s and realized how much muscle and body strength I was losing as well as watching some family members' health dramatically decline as a result of not taking care of themselves. I did not want to end up like them and as a result, I joined a gym, hired a personal trainer, and eventually became a personal trainer and coach myself.
My big passion for coaching is changing people's lives for the better. I am the result of coaches investing their time and knowledge into me and I want to do the same for others. I love to learn new skills and information that I can pass on to members and fellow coaches
